Tapestry Reflections facilitates and supports reflective practice by providing a space for educators to share and discuss thoughts, experiences, and actions.

• Record what you are thinking, why you are thinking it and what you plan to do.
• Link observations or other reflections to create a timeline.
• Add comments to engage in conversation.

Reflections to support children’s learning and development

Adding occasional reflections and their linked observations to Tapestry and using them with the Areas of Concern screen enables you to monitor and share the learning stories of your children. These can act as memory jogs for you and your staff when you are considering a child’s progress and any adaptations you may need to make to your provision for them.

Reflections for individual CPD and reflective practice

Tapestry Reflections facilitates individual educator’s reflective practice and CPD by providing a space to record thoughts and ideas, as well as the impact of any initiatives or training on your pedagogy and provision.

Reflections for team reflective practice

The ability to set a reflection’s visibility to ‘all staff’ creates a space for colleagues to share knowledge and experience with each other, developing individual and team expertise. This reflective practice tool can assist a staff team to develop an initiative within the setting in general, or to support a specific child.

Tapestry Reflections assists the leadership team to have effective and meaningful engagement with staff to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
